GDI is not a scam. It is a legitimate business with a real product. However, this business is different. It allows everyone to benefit from others buying the product. If you simply want a web site and have easy tools to use to design your site, you can do that for $10 a month!!
But with GDI, you can take that website and have it help you make money, or at least help defray the costs for you own website in the long run. A lot o people do not grasp the concept of how GDI works and what it is trying to accomplish and immediately assume it’s a scam.
Atypical scam involves fooling people into giving you money without any produc tor opportunity. GDI certainly does not fit into that category. In addition,almost every aspect of their business and services is introduced upfront in their video presentation.
Is this just another multi-levelmarketing scheme where only top people get money?
Yes and no.
GDI is a multi-level marketing company, just like these companies. I guess everyone buyingAVON , Tupperware, Longaberger and Pampered Chef is just throwing their money away on scams. Out of the 634 legitimate MLM companies listed on the MLM ranking website, GDI is currently ranked at 287, in the top 45 percent.

Take the corporate pyramid, for example. In a regular, corporate business you have the owner/CEO, President, Vice President, Upper Management, Middle Management and the rest of the workforce. Most of the workers at the bottom of the workforce will never be able to make more than a certain amount of money because of that "glass ceiling" (read = no room for advancement). You will never be able to work your way to the top like the CEO. You may make your way into middle management if you're there long enough and well-respected, but for the most part, people who start out as workers, remain workers and are limited in the amount of money they make.
But multi-level marketing is different, because no one above you can prevent you from succeeding. MLM actually levels the playing field where, when you do what is required, will make as much money as the compensation will allow. Nothing and no one can hold you back. There is no glass ceiling! Any reputable company knows that network marketing is actually the most ETHICAL business today because there is no discrimination, no favoritism, no nepotism,no affirmative action. Anyone regardless of gender or ethnic background can succeed if they're willing to work and make it succeed.
How are MLMs competitive?
How do Avon , Longaberger, Mary Kay and othe rMLM companies continue to make money for corporate AND their associates when similar products can be found at huge retail discount stores at rock-bottom prices?Why do so many people spend extra money on these products instead of saving at WalMart, especially in this recession?
How do
In order to pay their associates, MLM companies must calculate the expense fortheir product, then add their markup for profit. Then they tack on more expense to compensate the associate. There are several ways to interpret this.
- Consumers purchase niche market items for personal reasons and are willing to pay more for them, especially if there is the possibility the product's value will increase;
- Consumers have an affection for a particular brand;
- Consumers are willing to pay a bit more for a product they use AND have the opportunity to have that same product pay them back if they're willing to help sell the product too!
I don't want to sell. I just want a website.
Great! HoosierWebs can get you a website and you don't have to sell anything. You don't have to strong-arm anyone into signing up. You can have a personal website for only $10 a month and be perfectly content with your product and GDI's service and that's that.

But say after a few months, you're happy with your .WS site and can't believe how easy it's been to use and how much your family has enjoyed it. Why not try to capitalize on the power of duplication, a niche market and get passive income.
Let me give an example
Say there’s a particular brand HD-TV you want to buy. After research, you find the best deal at a store and purchase it. Great! You got your TV and numerous people are happy. The salesperson gets a commission. The owner of the store gets a percentage of the profit. The middle-man takes his cut. The giant manufacturer gets theirs. Sounds like a lot of people are profiting off of your television. But what if the salesperson told you that if you got someone else to buy a TV from the same store, he would pay you a percentage of the sale, too! You don’t even work there and he’s willing to give you some of his money to sell a TV for him! Who would turn something like that down? Lot's of people I talk to do, because they don't understand the concept and are hesitant to get a website this way.

GDI operates on this same principle, but instead of selling expensive TVs, think of the price of their product the same as a large pepperoni pizza or two $5 footlong SubWays or a Netflix membership subscription – because that’s all it costs. Think of GDI as the sale person who tells you “if you like our product and websites and you use them, well then tell other people. And if they’re interested in getting their own website too, I’ll make sure you get in on the profits.” Come to think of it, isn't this how all those successful MLM companies operate -- by word of mouth, little advertising and purchasing products from representatives.
Well that’s what’s happening to hundreds of people every day with GDI. There is a demand and a need for this product and because GDI is international (hence,the global and international in their title), people from all overthe world are capitalizing on GDIs growing popularity and looking for an alternative to the .COM nightmare.
