GDI News Flash!!

  • GDI is not a "get-rich-quick" program.  Anyone or any product that promises you'll get rich overnight is running a scam.
  • GDI provides a ready-made system to help you make money without having to learn the intricate and technical details of web design or network marketing.
  • GDI provides a system for you to build passive residual income in the long term.  As you grow, your downline grows.  As your downline grows, so does your income.
  • GDI does not charge a "franchise" fee.  Your $10 a month gets you a website.  You don't have to sell anything or maintain a quota.
  • GDI takes dedication, commitment, effort and enthusiasm.  To me, this is actually fun!  I enjoy talking to people about GDI and helping them get started.
  • GDI success starts with a good team and good sponsor.   HoosierWebs has a great team and is here to help.
  • GDI takes work!  If you want to make money at GDI, you will have to work at it.  You have to advertise, talk to people, follow-up with them and help them get started.

Free software and downloadable programs you can use for your GDI page

    GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP)

Want to start adding images to your GDI page, but don't know how to crop, edit and clean the image?  Don't have the money to purchase PhotoShop or Corel Draw or any other imaging manipulation software?  No worries, there are dozens of file sharing software available online that you can download for free and use on your photos.

This open source-image editor is similar to PhotoShop and includes many similar photo-editing tools you would find in the program.  With GNU, you can add filters, special effects, make masks and layers.  It even has the basics like a red-eye removal and the ability to crop and adjust the image color and brightness.

    Easy Poster Printer

This is a free program that allows you to take any photograph and turn it into a huge poster -- as big as 20 x 20 meters.  All you do is drag your image into the software and it will show you a grid of your photo and how many pages it will take to print it.  You can adjust your image, flip or stretch it and then print it!

    Paint.NET

What began as a project for students working with MicroSoft has evolved into a free image and editing program for PCs that use Windows.  It does the same thing as GIMP as well as PhotoShop and Corel.  There is also an online community for help and plenty of tutorials.

Wait! Isn't GDI just a scam?

GDI is not a scam. It is a legitimate business with a real product. However, this business is different.  It allows everyone to benefit from others buying the product.  If you simply want a web site and have easy tools to use to design your site, you can do that for $10 a month!!

But with GDI, you can take that website and have it help you make money, or at least help defray the costs for you own website in the long run.  A lot o people do not grasp the concept of how GDI works and what it is trying to accomplish and immediately assume it’s a scam.

Atypical scam involves fooling people into giving you money without any produc tor opportunity.  GDI certainly does not fit into that category.  In addition, almost every aspect of their business and services is introduced upfront in their video presentation.

Is this just another multi-levelmarketing scheme where only top people get money?
    Yes and no.

GDI is a multi-level marketing company, just like these companies. I guess everyone buyingAVON, Tupperware, Longaberger and Pampered Chef is just throwing their money away on scams. Out of the 634 legitimate MLM companies listed on the MLM ranking website, GDI is currently ranked at 287, in the top 45 percent.
Take the corporate pyramid, for example.  In a regular, corporate business you have the owner/CEO, President, Vice President, Upper Management, Middle Management and the rest of the workforce.  Most of the workers at the bottom of the workforce will never be able to make more than a certain amount of money because of that "glass ceiling" (read = no room for advancement).  You will never be able to work your way to the top like the CEO.  You may make your way into middle management if you're there long enough and well-respected, but for the most part, people who start out as workers, remain workers and are limited in the amount of money they make.

But multi-level marketing is different, because no one above you can prevent you from succeeding.  MLM actually levels the playing field where, when you do what is required, will make as much money as the compensation will allow. Nothing and no one can hold you back.  There is no glass ceiling! Any reputable company knows that network marketing is actually the most ETHICAL business today because there is no discrimination, no favoritism, no nepotism,no affirmative action.  Anyone regardless of gender or ethnic background can succeed if they're willing to work and make it succeed.

    How are MLMs competitive?
How do Avon, Longaberger, Mary Kay and othe rMLM companies continue to make money for corporate AND their associates when similar products can be found at huge retail discount stores at rock-bottom prices? Why do so many people spend extra money on these products instead of saving at WalMart, especially in this recession?

In order to pay their associates, MLM companies must calculate the expense fortheir product, then add their markup for profit.  Then they tack on more expense to compensate the associate. There are several ways to interpret this.
    • Consumers purchase niche market items for personal reasons and are willing to pay more for them, especially if there is the possibility the product's value will increase;
    • Consumers have an affection for a particular brand;
    • Consumers are willing to pay a bit more for a product they use AND have the opportunity to have that same product pay them back if they're willing to help sell the product too!
I don't want to sell.  I just want a website.
Great!  HoosierWebs can get you a website and you don't have to sell anything.  You don't have to strong-arm anyone into signing up.  You can have a personal website for only $10 a month and be perfectly content with your product and GDI's service and that's that.

But say after a few months, you're happy with your .WS site and can't believe how easy it's been to use and how much your family has enjoyed it.  Why not try to capitalize on the power of duplication, a niche market and get passive income.

    Let me give an example
Say there’s a particular brand HD-TV you want to buy.  After research, you find the best deal at a store and purchase it.  Great!  You got your TV and numerous people are happy.  The salesperson gets a commission. The owner of the store gets a percentage of the profit. The middle-man takes his cut.  The giant manufacturer gets theirs. Sounds like a lot of people are profiting off of your television. But what if the salesperson told you that if you got someone else to buy a TV from the same store, he would pay you a percentage of the sale, too!  You don’t even work there and he’s willing to give you some of his money to sell a TV for him!  Who would turn something like that down?  Lot's of people I talk to do, because they don't understand the concept and are hesitant to get a website this way.

GDI operates on this same principle, but instead of selling expensive TVs, think of the price of their product the same as a large pepperoni pizza or two $5 footlong SubWays or a Netflix membership subscription – because that’s all it costs.  Think of GDI as the sale person who tells you “if you like our product and websites and you use them, well then tell other people.  And if they’re interested in getting their own website too, I’ll make sure you get in on the profits.”  Come to think of it, isn't this how all those successful MLM companies operate -- by word of mouth, little advertising and purchasing products from representatives.

Well that’s what’s happening to hundreds of people every day with GDI. There is a demand and a need for this product and because GDI is international (hence, the global and international in their title), people from all overthe world are capitalizing on GDIs growing popularity and looking for an alternative to the .COM nightmare.

Why and How GDI does what it does

If you like a product, isn't only natural to let people you know what it is you like about the product?  There's something satisfying about referring someone to a good product that you use or to a company in which you have confidence.  But do you ever get paid to tell someone about your favorite shampoo, food, car, music CD or even Internet hosting company?  Chances are, probably not.  We all can’t be supermodel or super athletes spokespersons.

That's what sets GDI apart from the other hosting companies.  With others, you buy a URL and then have to pay for additional hosting services to get your site on the Internet. Then there's costs for e-mail or content management systems.  Want to have an online store?  That's additional costs for merchant accounts and shopping, PayPal accounts, supplies, etc. AND you have to be savvy enough to ensure everything is encrypted properly.   GoDaddy or GeoCities can host your site for free, but then your site is loaded with GoDaddy and Google Ads and you don't have control of the ads or the content placed there.

But GDI has a product AND a service.  The product is your own internet domain website using the website .WS extension.  The service is the services available for you to use to build your website AND the ability to get paid by telling people about this product!

Simple and affordable -- Easy to Use, Easy to Promote
GDI, a company out of Carlsbad, Calif., offers domain hosting packages to the general public for only $10 a month. They pay commissions based on sales of these hosting packages. There is no fee or anything to join in order to make those commissions and no one purchasing the hosting package for their own website is required to then sell the packages themselves;that is simply an option for hosting package customers if they choose to do that.

So why do I want or need a .WS website?
People think that .COM is the industry standard, but good luck in finding an unusual .COM address that isn't already taken.  And if you do find one, you'll end up paying premium prices.  All the four-letter .COM domains are already taken and sales of them are thousands of dollars.  However, if you simply want a family website, chances are the .WS extension you want is available and you can get your own website for your family and friends to enjoy for only $10 a month. domains are already taken and sales of them are thousands of dollars.  However, if you simply want a family website, chances are the .

Tomorrow I'll talk about if GDI is a scam or not.

    Welcome to HoosierWebs

HoosierWebs is a place where Hoosiers can build their own personal and business websites with little or no knowledge of computers, web design, HTML or any other web building program.
Whether you just want a website for your family, church, fund-raiser, school or even small business, or you just want to make some money, you've come to the right place starting with HoosierWebs.
    • Have you always wanted a website but didn’t know where to start?
    • Does computer code confuse or frighten you?
    • Is HTML, CSS, WYSIWYG, CMS or PHP alphabet soup to you?
    • Do you want to keep up with your family and friends, but want to steer clear of the FaceBook / MySpace / Twitter hype?
    • Feel like you’re too old to begin to learn to make your own website?
    • Do you feel like you’re lagging behind in the dot com world and don’t know whereto start?
If you answered “yes” to many of these questions, then you should consider a.WS website.
    What about these questions?
    • Do you understand what hosting accounts are, how to use search engine optimization or content management systems?
    • Is there enough time in your day to even begin learning how to build a“traditional dot com” web?
    • Do you know the difference between web developer and a web designer?
    • Do you understand what auto-responders are and how they work?
    • Do you know how to develop an e-mail marketing plan to reach customers (or even family members)?
    • Are you familiar with affiliate marketing or Clickbank’s Hopfeed system?
If you answered “no” to many of these questions, then you should consider a.WS website.
What is a .WS website?  WS means exactly what it sounds like – WebSite. It’s an alternative to the popular (and over-saturated) .COM websites (and others like .NET, .BIZ or .ORG).

In my next post, I'll explain a little about what you can do and how you can go about getting your own website and domain for just $10 a month with the help of HoosierWebs!
